Status: | Native to Tasmania and Victoria. | |
Plant Description: | Dense shrubby bush to 2 m tall. Stems are cylindrical in cross-section and leaves are crowded, narrow-linear and pointed, less than 3 mm wide and 1-3 cm long. Flower-heads develop on the ends of branches. Flower ‘petals’ are white to somewhat pale bluish. Fruit are slightly softly hairy achenes. | |
Habitat: | Scattered along the coastline in sand dunes. | |
Comments: | The daisy-bushes are a large genus of native plants with almost 50 species and subspecies recorded for Victoria. Other coastal species include Coastal Daisy-bush (Olearia axillaris) and Twiggy Daisy-bush (Olearia ramulosa). |
