Status: | Native to Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. | ||||||
General Description: | Distinctive grey-green erect plant up to 15 cm high, often forming dense ground covering mats. Stems and leaves are covered in very short, soft cottony hairs.The leaves are oblong-linear, 3-5 mm long and pointed. The flowerheads are greyish-green and cup-shaped with narrow mucronate bracts, and made up of many tiny yellow flowers. They are surrounded by dense white hairs. | ||||||
Habitat: | Often grows in sandy to clay soils subject to periodic water-logging. Found in saltpans, saline marshes and coastal areas.

Comments: | Similar to Stiff Cup-flower (Pogonolepis muelleriana) but has fewer leaves on the stems, forms a much denser mat and generally has greyer foliage. |
