Status:


Native to temperate Northern Hemisphere. Naturalised in Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria as well as in New Zealand, South Africa and South America.


Plant Description:


Slender, hairless, erect to procumbent plant from 4-30 cm high with 1-2 cm divided, basal leaves and a zig-zag flowering stem. Flowers white with tiny 1 mm petals. Fruit dry and dehiscent, obovate to oblong, 3-4 mm long and 2 mm wide with 3-10 seeds per row and 2 rows per fruit.


Habitat:


Weed of saline habitats in coastal Victoria and the north-west of the State.
