Status: Native to Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia and New South Wales.
Plant Description:Ascending perennial herb from 0.3-1 m high with fleshy stems and leaves, forming a loose rosette. Plant, including flowers hairless. Leaf blades 2-7 cm long with long stalks.

Flowers yellow or white, solitary in bracts on a dense cylindrical spike 30-60 cm long.
Habitat: Found in coastal saltmarsh, estuaries and river banks and occasionally near inland salt lakes.
