Plant Description: | Erect to ascending annual, hairless, herb with branches arising from near the base and to 1 m tall. Dull grey-green to strongly pink tinged. Leaves linear to narrowly elliptic, 6-15 mm long and 1 mm wide. Flowers in clusters in the junction of leaves and stems. Flower (or perianth) segments 5 lobed, depressed-globular to 2.5 mm diameter. Seed lens-shaped, dark reddish-brown, 1.5-2 mm diameter. | |||||||
Habitat: | Scattered on saline flats along the Murray River Valley.

Comments: | Usually a taller and finer species than Austral Seablite (Suaeda australis) and Berry Seablite (Suaeda baccifera). Surprisingly not yet found along the Victorian coastline. |
