Site Description

Immediately west of Murgheboluc the cutting displays an extensive section of Fyansford Formation. At the Brisbane Road junction this formation is overlain by Moorabool Viaduct Sands and there is a remnant gravely terrace deposit.
SignificanceLocal. The site is an extensive and clear exposure of sedimentary formations.

Management

Class 2. The road cuttings should be maintained free from overgrowth and not be artificially stabilized.
