Location | Bannockburn - 533890. Former Shire of Bannockburn. Small unused quarry on hillslope 500 m east of Lowndes Bridge, 4 km north of Bannockburn. |

Site Description | The quarry exposes bedded sandy limestone overlain by sandy clays with prominent ferruginous pellets. |
Significance | Local. The site displays the characteristic lithology of the upper beds of the Upper Maude Limestone Member. This contrasts with the dense microcrystalline limestone lower in the sequence exposed to the north. |
Management | Class 2. The quarry face should be retained and not regraded, reclaimed or used as a refuse tip. |
