Access:

Warburton Highway.

Geology:

The valley at Warburton is narrow where the river crosses the contact between the Acheron Cauldron Volcanic complex and the Warburton Granodiorite Intrusion. Outcrop of the intrusive rocks occur in the river channel for two kilometres west of Warburton.

Significance:

Local.

Management:

Class 3. No special management programme is required to maintain the significance of the site.
