Access:

Morrisons - Elaine Road.

Ownership:

Crown land.

Site Description:

The road cutting exposes Ordovician sediments with a complex of structures, including a synclinal hinge, faulted anticline, crenulation cleavage and small faults and folds.

Significance:

Local. The site is a clear example of structures in the basement rocks of the Morrisons area.

Management:

Class 3. Any road maintenance or widening operations should be designed to maintain the clarity of the structures of the cutting.
