Location:Cleever Hill - 503320. Shire of Ballan. Valley of Moorabool River, 500 m to 1 km upstream from the Ballan-Egerton Road bridge.

Access:

Ballan-Egerton Road.

Ownership:

Crown land.

Site Description:

The valley slopes expose an extensive area of the unconformable contact between the basement Ordovician rocks and the Permian glacial deposits.

Significance:

State. The site is an important display of unconformity described above.

Management:

The site should be retained as Crown land. Large scale engineering works or water storages that would obscure the site should not be permitted.
