Geomorphology: | Cannibal Creek is a valley in the southern section of the granitic ranges north of the Princes Highway. They valley floor gradient is low and encumbered by granite was from the adjacent slopes, and the stream channel has developed several anabranches. The stream consists of ponded sections linked by swampy and poorly defined channels. | |
Significance: | Regional. This is a clear example of drainage impedance developed in the granitic terrain to the north of the Princes Highway. | |
Management: | Class 1. No further clearing or drainage should be permitted on the area of Public Land Water Frontage contained in this site. |
