Geology: | A small capping of Older Volcanics overlies Mesozoic sandstones and mudstones. The Mesozoic rocks have been quarried and the old quarry face exposes the contact between the two formations. | |
Significance: | Regional. The site provides one of the best exposures in the Westernport Bay catchment of the contact between the Mesozoic bedrocks and Older volcanics. | |
Management: | Class 2. The guidelines relating to quarry management apply at this site. |
