Status: Native to Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria.
Plant Description:Erect, multi-stemmed, annual, rarely more than 20 cm high with pinnate (carrot or celery-like) leaves to 5 cm long. Flowers white (often with a reddish midrib to each 0.5 mm long petal) and clustered into small heads. Fruit broad-ovoid, about 1.5 mm long with 5 slender pale ribs to each segment. Flowering Spring-summer.
Habitat: Found mostly in saltmarsh and other saline habitats, including along brackish inland creeks and on saline wetlands.

Comments:Very similar to the largely coastal Sea Celery (Apium prostratum) which has prostrate to sprawling growth, branches to 70 cm long, leaves to at least 20 cm long and fruit with barely noticeable furrows between the ribs.
