Geological heritage sites, including sites of geomorphological interest and volcanic heritage sites, are under regular revision by the Geological Society of Australia, especially in the assessment of significance and values. Reference should be made to the most recent reports. Location:701558. Cutting in track across Merrriman Creek seven kilometres south-west of Gormandale.

Geology/Geomorphology:

Mudstone beds include impressions of
T. daintreii.

Significance:

Regional. These localities all have abundant but fragmented plant remains. They are not as important stratigraphically as the areas in the Boola Boola forest (
Site 8121 – 18) but provide accessible and rewarding localities for collectors.
