Management Considerations:
Whole Profile
- Plant available water capacity (PAWC) is considered to be medium (estimated at 140 mm) in the upper 100 cm of this soil profile.
- This site had more earthworms than we have seen at any other SFS site.
- Pit excavated ~100 m west of NE gate into paddock. Duplex soil with buckshot gravel. SFS9a hollow and SFS9b is puff. Generally yellow clay in puff, ~30 cm to B, A2 full of buckshot. Greyer soil in hollow, ~60 cm to B, buckshot only in lower 10 cm of A2 (generalisation made on one pit).
