Scientific name:Bassia scoparia (L.) A.J. Scott

Common Name:
kochia

Habitat:
Grows well in climates with hot, sunny summers, and can receive as little as 150 mm annual rainfall. Invades disturbed sites such as roadsides, railways and eroded banks and grows in crops, pastures and rangelands. Tolerant of saline soils.
