Location:

7259.75. 6 kilometres north of Bindi.

Abstract:

Sheared Mt Tambo Group Sediments.

Access:

Walk from Mt Tambo Track.

Ownership:

Partly Crown land, partly Private land.

Geology:

Sheared and slickensides conglomerate and sandstone of the Mt Tambo Group occurs along the faulted contact with the Devonian Buchan Group

Significance:

Local. These minor structures provide evidence for the faulted contact.

Management:

Because of the area covered by the site the value of the significant geological feature cannot be seriously reduced by localized disturbance e.g. road works or extractive industry.
