A10-15 cmDark brownish grey (10YR3/2): fine sandy clay loam; moderate fine to very fine polyhedral structure: weak consistence (moist); very few (1-2%) medium sized fragments; abrupt change to:

A215-45 cmYellowish greyish brown (10YR5/4); light clay; strong fine to very fine polyhedral with some coarse to medium platy structure; weak (moist) consistence; a slight (2-10%) amount of fine to medium sized fragments; clear change to:
Subsoil

B2145-60 cm Yellowish brown (10YR5/6); light clay; strong fine to very fine polyhedral with some coarse to medium platy structure, masked by gravel; firm consistence dry; abundant (50-90%) medium to fine ironstone gravels with some basalt cobbles with ironstone skins; abrupt change to:

B2260-100 cmYellowish brown (10YR5/8); light medium clay; strong, very fine (1-2 mm) polyhedral and lenticular structure (slickensides); weak (very moist) consistence; a very slight (1-2%) amount of ironstone gravel fragments; abrupt change to:

B23100-130 cmDarkish yellowish brown (10YR4/6); medium clay; medium coarse polyhedral structure; a very slight (1-2%) amount of fine (2-6 mm) ironstone; clear change to:

C130+cmDecomposing basalt.
