In general, the Callawadda association represents the soils occurring on the low-lying plains. The main landforms associated with this unit are the river flood plains and the flood plains with channel network. The unit also occurs on some low-lying parts of other landforms including the drainage lines, lake flood plains, gently undulating plains and the moderately undulating plains.
The main soils included in this association are various Red and Yellow Sodosols as well as Vertosols.
