Geomorphology: | On the southern side of the Snow River, cliffs cut into a prominent and narrow ridge that most easterly exposure of the Gippsland Limestone. The outcrop contains thin but prominent hard beds with fragmentary shell remains or, occasionally, bands of well preserved shells. The Limestone grades into partly ferruginized quartzose sandstone of the Lindenow Sandstone Member. | |
Significance: | Regional. Most easterly occurrence of the Gippsland Limestone. | |
Management: | Access to the site needs to be formalised with the present land owner. |
