Geological heritage sites, including sites of geomorphological interest and volcanic heritage sites, are under regular revision by the Geological Society of Australia, especially in the assessment of significance and values. Reference should be made to the most recent reports. Abstract:
Outcrops of Snowy River Volcanics

Access:
Walk from Cobberas Track

Ownership:
Crown Land

Geology/Geomorphology:
Rams Horn is one of the largest isolated outcrops of Snowy River Volcanics in the Cobberas area. The southern face rises vertically almost 50 metres, the outlines of the cliff determined by jointing in the volcanic rock.

Significance:
Local.

Management:
Localised disturbance, eg. Track or footpath construction in accordance with National Park management strategies would not degrade the value of the site.
