Location:

350170 (8322). Perrys Bluff, southern side of Mitchell Valley between Lucas Creek and Lindenow.

Abstract:

Lindenow Sandstone member.

Geology:

The member is characterised by yellow to brown or red quartzose sandstone, ferruginised in part, and with gravely lenses. The ferruginous sandstone beds were originally referred to as the “Moitun Creek Beds” and assigned an Early Pliocene age, but have recently been re-interpreted as Early Miocene, based on foraminiferal assemblages.
