Location:

010890 to 010940. Twenty five kilometres south-west of Mount Hotham.

Access:

Blue Rag Range Track.

Ownership:

Crown Land.

Geology/Geomorphology:

The site includes a deeply incised and sinuous sector of the Wongungarra River with interlocking spurs. Ordovician sediments are exposed along the lower parts of the spurs and in the river channel.

Significance:

Regional. The site illustrates the form of an actively downcutting stream sector in the highlands.

Management:

Forestry activities and roadworks should be prohibited in the area of the site.
