Access: | Great Ocean Road.

Geology: | The road cuttings along a four kilometre sector of the Great Ocean Road from Wattle Hill to the Gellibrand River bridge expose Otway Group Sediments designated as the Moonlight Head Beds (Baker 1950).
Significance: | Regional. This is the main area of exposure of the Moonlight Head Beds apart from the coastal outcrops. The beds display several structures such as different dip directions and small faults that are of importance in determining the regional structure of the area. Fossil plant remains of the Zone D of Douglas (1969) are recorded from these cuttings.
