Location:18-338099. Two kilometres west of Skenes Creek.

Rusty Road falls near Skenes Creek.

Access:

Great Ocean Road or Rusty Road.

Ownership:

Private land.

Geomorphology:

A 20 metre high waterfall occurs in the valley of a small unnamed creek where it crosses the escarpment of the Skenes Creek Monocline. The geology of the site has not been examined in detail.

Significance:

Regional. Unlike many other coastal falls in the area, this site has a vertical face. A more detailed study of the rock structures would clarify the nature of the Skenes Creek Monocline. The site makes an interesting comparison with Wild Dog Creek Gorge as they represent different stages of valley development.
