This step helps you eliminate choices that do not fit either your goals (Step 1) or the farm features (Step 2) and helps you to explore more information on potential systems you could consider for your farm.

You can go through the following 2 questions to identify the strengths and weaknesses of various options which will then help you to move towards Step 4, which looks at the detailed planning, design, costs and management of the potential options.

The 2 questions are:

3.1 - What are the relative strengths, limitations and costs of different systems?
3.2 - How do these options fit in with my goal(s) and farm situation?
