Management Considerations
Deep, sandy soil, slightly acid, becoming acid at depth (clay). Leached soil, very little nutrient available, apart from thin surface soil. Clayey subsoil at depth, possible deep Sodosol. Surface soil maintaining stability while vegetation cover exists, susceptible to sheet rill and wind erosion. Subsurface soil has loose to weak consistence (no binding). Dune; site drainage varying from moderately well drained to well drained; receiving and distributing moisture.
