Management considerations
  • Strong texture contrast profile, sodic subsoil, probably strongly sodic at depth.
  • Occasional subsurface horizon, leached (bleached) with restrictive interface with subsoil.
  • Neutral surface soil and upper subsoil, alkaline subsurface soil.
  • Subsoil is sodic and very highly dispersive. Limited (preferably no) exposure necessary to remain stable.
  • Landscape position as footslope; exposure will accelerate rill/gully erosion in susceptible areas( depressions /drainage lines).
