Management considerations
  • Distinct soil texture contrast between sandy surface (A) horizons and clay subsoil (B21) horizon
  • Soft surface soil condition (ie. not hardsetting) may be susceptible to wind erosion.
  • Thin conspicuously bleached A2 horizon.
  • Coarse columnar structure with hard bleaching capping at top of B horizon, restricting internal drainage
