Management Considerations
Distinctive texture contrast between sandy surface (A) horizons and clay (B) subsoil. Light surface texture is highly susceptible to wind erosion. Strong coarse columnar structure with bleached capping at top of subsoil, restricting water and gas movement. Neutral surface soil over alkaline subsoil which may well decrease as it grades into weathered sandstone material. Duneslope element, moderate site drainage (receiving and distributing drainage).
