Geology: Late Tertiary to Quaternary, also late Pleistocene to Holocene.

Landform: Level to slightly sloping plains, Wimmera River terraces.

Vegetation: Species from the tall woodland and the heath and tall woodland formations may have occurred on this soil type.

Classification Range: The only site formally classified was site IS20.

Occurrence: Haven sandy clay loam occurs as a sub-dominant soil type on level and slightly sloping plains in the dune and swale and flood plain landscape units. The site described is in the river frontage landscape north of the Wimmera River near Drung.
