'Single' Lake-Lunette Systems

A lake-lunette system consists of a lake ‘or a swamp’ and its related lunette. The lunette is higher ground usually formed as a crescent bounding its corresponding lake, located to the east and north-east. ‘Single’ lake-lunette systems refer to those systems where there is only one lake and its associated lunette, within the mapping unit. The overall extent of this unit is about 4 300 hectares, occurring in small areas (average 180 ha) scattered throughout the survey.

The main soils included in this unit have been mapped in the Donald association.
