Type B

This soil, like Type A, occurs over small areas on the higher parts the plain. It has the same reddish coloured clay in the subsoil, but it is distinguished from Type A by a distinct lightening of texture in the deep subsoil i.e. by the presence of a clay loam or a lighter texture. It is externally well drained and has fair internal drainage.
