5.7.2 Modern floodplains with co-dominant calcareous linear dunefields
The soils are mainly grey clays, overlain in places by thin grey sandy loams and occasionally by deeper grey to white sands blown in from adjacent land. Black box woodlands predominate, with redgum beside streambanks. Susceptibility to wind erosion is generally low, but can be severe on the deep sands. |
