The marine cliff profile displays a series of lava flows of different structure and texture. A small sea cave has developed at the base of the cliff. In front of the cliff is a sand beach and a shore platform over 100 metres wide.

Significance:

State. This is a very clear and accessible section of the Older Volcanic lava flows. Although widely represented in the Westernport region, there are few safe accessible exposures of these rocks either inland or the coast.
