Site 66, Hanging Valley, Shoreham
Access:Beach walk from Shoreham.
Ownership:Private land.
Geomorphology:The valley of a small, weakly incised stream is suspended as a hanging valley at the plateau edge.
Significance:Local. The valley indicates the resistance to erosion of the basalt rocks that comprises the plateau surface between Flinders and Shoreham.
Management:Class 3. No restrictions on land use are required to maintain the significance of the site.
