Management Considerations:
  • Gradational soil with sandy component, fine sand decreases with depth and coarse sand increases with depth.
  • Neutral to alkaline soil with relatively low nutrient availability, but high capacity in proportion to clay percentage.
  • Weak structure of surface soil, susceptible to sheet erosion.
  • Pale colour of subsoil, indicating restrictive internal drainage.
  • Depositional profile, possible perched watertable with polygenetic soil.
