Management Considerations:
  • Texture contrast soil or deep sand over clay.
  • Deep sandy material is alkaline at the surface becoming neutral to slightly acidic with depth.
  • Deep loose sand, bleached, little nutrient holding capacity or available.
  • Sandy material susceptible to wind and sheet erosion.
  • Upper subsoil is acidic tending to neutral with depth.
  • Subsoil is sodic with pale colour and mottling, restricted drainage.
  • Landform element, dune; well drained site drainage.
