Callawadda Association
In general, the Callawadda association represents the soils occurring on the low-lying plains. The main landforms associated with this unit are the river flood plains and the flood plains with channel network. The unit also occurs on some low-lying parts of other landforms including the drainage lines, lake flood plains, gently undulating plains and the moderately undulating plains.
The main soils included in this association are various Red and Yellow Sodosols as well as Vertosols.

The main soils included in this association are the hard alkaline red, yellow and mottled-yellow duplex soils. Other soils include hard alkaline brown and neutral mottled-yellow duplex soils, sandy neutral mottled-red duplex soils and cracking clays (both with and without bleached subsurface horizons). Site LP96 is an example of a Red Sodosol from the Gooroc area.
