Description:

Erect or decumbent perennial or sometimes annual with stems to 20 cm long and branched. Leaves narrow-lanceolate (spear-shaped), 4-10 mm long and 1-3 mm wide, often grey-green or sometimes reddish.


Flower-heads spike-like panicle, each head with 4-many flowers 1-2 mm long and pale yellow to red. Fruit a follicle containing two seeds.

Habitat:

Widespread throughout Victoria, growing in moist places, including moderately saline flats.
