General Land Unit Description:
The undulating rise at Minhamite north of Hawkesdale, consists predominantly of Black Sodosols. Ferromangiferous nodules are abundant, either above the clay subsoil or at depth.

Soil Profile Morphology

A1	0-20 cm	Very dark grey (10YR3/2), clay loam, hard setting surface condition, ferromanganiferous nodules are common, pH 5.0. Transition to:
	Subsoil
B21	20-30 cm	Dark grey (10YR3/2), heavy clay, yellowish brown mottles, strong blocky structure (10-20 mm), many coarse fragments (200-600 mm), many ferromanganiferous nodules, pH 5.6.
