Location:

962250. Near the junction of Dead Horse Creek and Limestone Creek.

Abstract:

Enclave of Buchan Caves Limestone preserved by faulting.

Geology:

A small enclave of Buchan Caves Limestone has been preserved at this locality by down faulting along a complex series of faults in the Limestone Fault Zone. Fossils recovered from this site indicate an age equivalent to the lower part of the same sequence at Buchan.

Significance:

Local. The small outcrops marks the position of faults associated with the Limestone Fault Zone.

Management:

Because of the small size of the deposit quarrying should be prohibited.
