A Study of Land Capability in the Shire of Bungaree

The study
"A Study of Land Capability in the Shire of Bungaree" was conducted in 1979, by P. J. Jeffrey, R. T. Costello and P. King of the former Soil Conservation Authority. The study examines the environment and land capability in the Shire of Bungaree. The land was categorised into twelve land units, most of which were land systems consisting of repeating patterns of land components. The land components of each land system were rated for their ability to support the following main types of subdivision:-

  • URBAN
  • SMALL FARMLETS (about 4 ha)
  • LARGE FARMLETS (greater than 16 ha) BUSH BLOCKS
