Sites of geological and geomorphological significance in the Shire of Otway have been selected on the basis either that they represent a specific characteristic of the region, or that they include an outstanding, rare, or possibly unique geological or geomorphological feature. As such, these sites are of interest to people engaged in research and teaching in earth sciences and to others who wish to understand the composition, origin and dynamics of the physical landscape of the Shire.





These two maps show the general location of 128 sites rated as geologically and/or geomorphologically significant in the former Shire of Otway region. The maps can be clicked on to reveal information about each site.
